Brief Description: Left wing tank match drilling and deburring
My brother Bernie and I continued from the previous night by match drilling the left wing fuel tank components followed by deburring, edge finishing and some dimpling and countersinking. We also match drilled the leading edge to fuel tank joint plate, see image 1. We also cut the hole into the inboard bukhead for the fuel tank access panel and match drilled the plate nut retaining ring to the bulkhead. The inboard bulkhead to fuselage tank attach bracket was made from stock angle as well as the doubler plate on the inside nose of the inboard bulkhead, see image 2. We finished by riveting on the three anchor nuts that bolt the inboard Z bracket to the spar, see image 3.
